After the pandemic Covid-19 pass and you’re off to long-ago planned trip, maybe the way bring you to the beautiful areas of untouched nature in the Eastern Serbia. Situated in the close vicinity of Danube (about 15km away) is small town Negotin, the last bigger place where you can supply yourself with all important needs and fresh food before the border to Bugarska. Also, you can have a rest in one of hotels or hostels, here in the town.
Supermarkets in Negotin are well stocked with all the major items of well-known and your favorite brands in the fields of the toiletries, food and drinks. I want this time to single out two Supermarkets, both located in the city center: “IDEA” is on the main square and “Super T-market Krajina” (known as “Tekijanka”) situated in the Hotel Inex building.
There is a rich and miscellaneous offer of the bread, dairy products, delicatessen, cans, fruit juices, snacks, beers, wines, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Open during the whole day, there you will find organic food in both of them and in “IDEA” you can find offered vegetarian and even vegan products, too.
Very diverse offer of many kinds of breads, baguettes, sweet and salted pies, burek, pastries and dairy products is present in the chain of warm, smelling bakery-shops that you can find behind the name “Matalj Pekara” (Matalj Bakery). Enjoy the delicious morsels of meat-filled burek, or in an apple pie lightly dusted with icing sugar in “Matalj Pekara” in early, breezy Negotin morning!
See you in Negotin.
