Niagra of Bangladesh

Nafakhum known as Niagra of Bangladesh. In rainy season it shows its real face. Its located in Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban District. From Thanchi one have to go upstream Remakri village by octane engine boat. Most thrilling boat journey through in shallow stream that filled with enormous gravel and very big boulder on it. It may take 3/4 hour on boat. From Remakri it all on foot. after 3/4 hour (Depending on season) of tracking one can have a view of mighty Nafakhum.

In Rainy season this trail is very dangerous. Some place have to cross by swimming against heavy current of the stream. Now people can stay at night over Nafakhum. Many local people has facilitated their house to host the guest in exchange of money. People can also stay at Remakri villege. Local guide are available from Thanchi while hiring octane engine boat.

After informing to local Boarder Guard Bangladesh office about your visit you have to hire a local guide. He will assist you about boat, resident, food etc. Many people often visit this place. No need to book boat earlier.
