First Person View driving a kart

You can can watch the full video here

This was one of the best attractions in Niagara, it was one of the first attractions that were on my bucket list.

Why?

Because when we arrived on the bus we saw that really cool track it looked something like a Mario Kart track, me and my friends looked at each other and we were thinking the same, with a big smile on our faces
Let’s do it!

Right after we checked- in the hotel we realized that the sunset was going to start so we decided to ride the Niagara Skywheel, at the top we could see all the track and it looked really fun.

There are 2 types of karts: solo and with a passenger seat.

Tickets:

$12 Adult

$4 Passenger

Tips for parents:

1.- Ask your kids if they really want to ride the karts, we saw some kids crying in the queue and they had to get out and some parents were giving away their kidÂŽs ticket.

2.- If your kid wants to ride the karts, they can be lucky and have a free ticket from parents in the previous step! haha

3.- If you are driving with your kid don’t speed too much and drive on the right side of the lane, doing this you avoid getting bumped.

The race is five minutes long and there are 36 karts, if you don’t hit the brakes and have a good strategy you can get up to 4 laps. Karts have a max speed of 32 km/hr.
yeah it’s not super fast but let’s keep in mind that is a family attraction so everybody can have fun, it is very important to avoid bumping.

You will get to the top of the track (12 meters tall) by driving through a spiral and once you have reached it you will start to descend on a ramp (that is the best part), I wish karts were faster but regardless of that its totally like real life Mario Kart experience (bananas not included).???

What is your favorite go kart track?

There is also a Game Zone next to the exit of the karts, I personally prefered to drive again.

I’m not very good at driving @LaloPadilla but I certainly loved watching your driving experience! It certainly looks like sooooooo much fun! The part where you were going downhill certainly looks fantastic! Do you think it’s an experience that’s better during the day or at night? I can imagine that day time would be quite hot but the blue skies would be ace for the video! Also, I’m guessing that you used on your own camera to film the experience? Some places don’t allow customers to film the experience and have to pay extra for the ‘official’ video experience!

Anyway, thanks for sharing and loving your series of post on Niagara!!

@AdrianLunsong The downhill part is the best, it was like a roller coaster I wanted to put my hands up so bad, but you know I was driving haha.

During daytime sun would have helped a lot to get better results, and at night temperature was perfect and all the attractions get lighten up but most cameras don’t have a really good low-light performance in video.

I used a GoPro with a chest harness, you have to keep both hand on the wheel all the time, I asked if I could use the chest mount and the staff allowed it, they were glad that someone followed the rules, they told me that some people have caused accidents because of taking selfies.

Hey @LaloPadilla

I just came to this post from the link you put on the comment section. Wow! I’ve never driven a go kart and it looks super fun! Well, I might not be able to find the same track here, but I think I should give it try haha You are so brave! I saw you put your hands up!
