New year in just few hours…I recommend the Sensouji (浅草寺) is good and also Meiji Jingu(明治神宮) nice for new year, but there will probably be crowded in new year.

Yes, 寺 is temple and 神社 is shrine, normally Japanese people are going to the shrine at pray for new year.

@IrishB Day time is better for pray at shrine.

We have a meet-up at 21 Jan in Tokyo.
