Wow! this is cool, Kishor!

I guess I haven’t noticed because I am not paying so much attentions to maps because of the lockdown.

Thank you, I will check it out and update maps if I have to.

How are you? @KishorMali

@Ewaade_3A

Yes, you can update the google Maps and if you don’t get update,

It takes some time.

After that you will get update the google Maps and you can find this.

Maybe, you can check now and find is that new layout already available or not.

I am fine.

ooh! Great! I have checked it out and it’s there.

After this lockdown, we are going to have a blast, Maps will surely get a "Sugar rush". :dancer: @KishorMali

@Ewaade_3A

During lockdown, it’s best time to more contribute.

Hence, we can’t visit or explore new places and unable to take videos and photos.

True. but from what I learnt at the teacher’s @PaulPavlinovich session today; “do not contribute for points”, try to upload details to map not more than three months after you visited. The idea is to get an actual representation of what the place is like now.

Lockdown started in March in Nigeria and is still on.

I have to wait till after lockdown to contribute again.

Yes, absolutely agree.

Hence, I don’t mentioned in my previous reply to earning more points for doing the more contribution.

We have many things and many ways to contribute.

During lockdown.

Personally, during lockdown,

I did reporting many non useful and fake photos and try to keep clean google map.

Same here.

Lockdown started in my country on March 22.

But, here we can go outside with some restrictions.

Most of the places will be closed for till the 14 August.

Ooh. I see. That’s great.

Well done, Kishor.

More power to your elbow.

I think we should try to ensure “Local Guides get better at what they do” other than reporting them, if they do not change, then we report.

When @PaulPavlinovich first met me, one of the “helpful things he did for me” was to tell me to “clean up my Google Maps Profile”.

I was contributing for fun! I wasn’t “serious” about this whole thing. So, whenever I was at a place, I took a Photo, most of them “selfies”, I dread giving my Phone (which I use the most) to people!

I live in Lagos :face_with_thermometer:

In his ‘signature’ way, he explained to me what Maps was ‘really about’ and the kind of pictures required. I went to my Profile and deleted many Photos.

After I heard Justine speak at the Meetup today, I went back to my profile and deleted even more Photos.

I think the best way to “Clean up maps” in my opinion, is to raise us a "generation of Local Guides" who knows what Maps is really about.

That’s why, I attend all of these Meetups and “stay quiet” while in them, so, I can make proud all those who have invested so much time and energy in “grooming me” for the next leverl.

so, Kishor, the next time you want to report, try and see if you can speak to the Local Guide, they must just be another**Ewaade @KishorMali **

The most of my reporting is for google map users.

They use Gmaps as a Entertaining thing!!

I saw very few cases, then local guides upload non useful photos.

Since I report many things on google Maps.

No worries.
