- I visited and added a new restaurant on Oct 13, 2019 I chatted with the general manager that told me she had not been able to get the restaurant on Google Maps. I have encountered this before and was successfully able to get a new place added. In this situation, the same owner had a restaurant in this same location under a slightly different name but that one is makes “permanently closed” which is true. The new restaurant is a different style but the name is one word different plus is painted differently on the outside and mildly changed on the inside. I don’t see my contribution at all in my edits tab and the restaurant is still missing from Google Maps. Should it appear as pending in my edits tab? I’m here right now and the place is jammed. I know the manager told me they did a “claim this place” addition but they can’t get confirmed. How can I get this place correctly added? Is there somewhere I can go to request a review.

When businesses are having issues getting added to the map you should direct them to the Google My Business program, which has both it’s own peer support forum and also formal support from Google. If the regular process has failed them then they should use one of those two support options, otherwise they will never gain control of the owner features and will also likely have ongoing issues long into the future.

The business owner can solve this problem easier when using the correct tool Google My Business which can be managed from a dedicated app with the help from the Google team as @Flash has mentioned. Just encourage the owner to get in touch with the Google team so that they help to claim that business. Thank you.
