I noticed that building a route takes into account only the streets. You can not see the shortest route that will pass through residential areas. Only the streets! No cuts routes. IMHO would be convenient for local experts to build the shortest routes.
Example: I ask two points on the map. A and B. And I go from point A to point B. Without taking into account the route offered by the maps. The popularity of this route can be estimated by other users of the network. Those who allowed the exact geo-positioning of their smartphones. The safety of the proposed route can be compared with the time of day. Do not offer the shortest routes in the time interval (the time of sunset and dawn for example).

I have noticed Waze app kind of does what I believe you are referencing.
I understand what you are saying but it doesn’t appear that Google maps is quite there yet…?
@MaksimHerts hey I also consider that, it would be nice to be able to create a short way to help other arrive in less time to the place they want to be. It would be nice to have that, I am a person who walks a lot, my phrase is #keepwalking every time you can in a new city and in your daily life
