New Mobile-Friendly Format for the Top 100 Leaderboards

Hi everyone,

In his closing comment of the September Points leaderboards, @AdamGT asked mobile users to try accessing the September points leaderboards via any HUB, so I decided to test this out and discovered a new, mobile-friendly format of the Top 100 Leaderboards, providing a far better user experience for mobile users than is currently possible here on Connect.

To see this feature, you need to access the Leaderboards via any HUB, that is yours or anyone else’s, on a mobile device. Selecting the Leaderboards link on a HUB will take you as usual to the main Leaderboards index and related posts including the star photo and star video albums and discussion posts.

Then after selecting say Points on the main index, you are taken to a new sub-index of all the current points leaderboards

From here you can dive straight to any specific board such as for example board #106, the Level 10 Points leaderboard or board #112, the country points leaderboard without needing to scroll vertically through all the points leaderboards as you need to do on Connect.

Once on any of the leaderboards you will immediately notice a much sharper and cleaner UI for the leaderboard, specifically targeted at the mobile user. Other mobile friendly features include fixed visible board headings when scrolling vertically over larger boards.

This is a major enhancement of the Leaderboards for mobile users and it’s just amazing that this can be done from any HUB on Connect and overcomes many of the limitations that Connect poses for mobile users..

Thank you, AdamGT, for all the hard work you do to continuously improve the community’s user experience on the Leaderboards and make them even more interesting.

Have you noticed this new format too?

Leaderboard

Thanks for pointing this out @PrasadVR. I did not notice. I just did a quick test with just the Country Leaderboard, and my number on the regular page shows as 112,5, whereas on the Hub version it correctly displays 112,575 points. Much gratitude to @AdamGT for developing this alternative access.

Thank you for testing it out, @tony_b! The full numbers display on the Hub version makes reading the boards so much easier on mobile. Kudos to @AdamGT for this update.

Thanks a lot for yet another new enhancement @AdamGT and your great description @PrasadVR.

Since I rarely use my phone at home for Connect and T100, I only saw the new design just now. It will be a great support for watching the leader boards while a away from any desk.

Thank you for your feedback, @WilfriedB! Yes, it is very convenient for checking the leaderboards on the move. Glad you found the post helpful.

Yes, my dear @PrasadVR
It is extremely helpful and user-friendly…
I tested it on mobile and also a tablet…both working excellently.

Congratulations to our dear @AdamGT
Thanks again for your dedication to help us.

Thanks for your timely update, dear Prasad
Best wishes

Der Hub entwickelt sich zur Schaltzentrale.

Vielen Dank für die neuen Möglichkeiten, @AdamGT, und vielen Dank, @PrasadVR, für die gute Vorstellung der neuen Funktionen.

Thank you for your kind words and feedback, @TravellerG ji! I am glad to hear it works smoothly on both mobile and tablet.

@Annaelisa! Thank you for your appreciation,

Yes, I agree; the Hub is becoming a central place for everything.

An excellent explanation and presentation of this new Leaderboard feature @PrasadVR. I’m pleased to see that you read my comment and took the initiative not only to test out this new feature but also to present it the community when I just don’t have any more spare time to do so. Thank you.

That’s precisely the benefits of accessing the Leaderbords via any HUB on Connect @tony_b. As we’ve seen before in for example the discussion on World Photography Day 2026 - Celebrating Google Maps Local Guides, Connect unfortunately doesn’t handle large tables, especially those that have many columns where horizontal scrolling is needed. As well as acting as a central gateway between the Connect forum, greatly simplifying and giving us faster access to our Maps and Connect profiles, the Leaderboards and everything associated with them, it provides a way to overcome the Connect forum limitations. While you have demonstrated this by way of country points boards, just wait and see how significant this feature will be on the leaderboards to come

Thanks @WilfriedB for your appreciation. It was precisely having mobile users in mind that led to this and let’s face it, we’re all on mobile from time to time.

I’m pleased to see that you successfully tested this new capability not only on mobile but also on a tablet @TravellerG

That’s exactly what the HUB is @Annaelisa and the beauty is, while we all have access to personal profiles etc from our own HUB, we also have access to general features like the Leaderboards from anyone’s HUB. The HUBs also have the necessary smarts to display the right versions depending on which device we are working on

Thank you so much for the kind words @AdamGT!

I was happy to test it out and share it with the community while you are busy. Thank you for all your hard work behind the scenes and for always bringing such useful updates to the Leaderboards!

Yes @WilfriedB. Sometimes I peek at Connect on my phone while at work, and see that the Leaderboards are published. Then I have to wait until I get home to check them all over again on the computer to get the proper numbers. Now that issue is resolved with this update.

Thank you @PrasadVR ji for sharing this very useful update to Y100 dashboards. Thanks to @AdamGT for all the hardwork put in

I’m glad you liked the post @Ssiddharth2000!

You are most welcome, my dear @PrasadVR
