I am using an android mobile phone. This does not work on desktop. So then I checked on a few different places around the world to see if this was in effect there. This was the results"

Akron Ohio: Yes. for @Mikeinthefalls

Battleboro Vrt. Not yet, Sorry @Rednewt74 (but your post on Fine Arts Bakery was at the top.)

London Eng. Yes for @abermans

Odense Den. Yes for @MortenCopenhagen

Melbourne Aust. Yes for @AdamGT

New Delhi Yes but not in all rural areas.

Let me know someone please if this is the same look on an I Phone.

Hello @TerryPG ,

This is what is available for New Delhi on my android phone. It’s the same old look no change so far

This is a nice change @TerryPG

However, like other friends, it is not available on my side, too.

Agree with you here @MortenCopenhagen a couple of years ago I was a tester for Google maps, but I thought that was over, maybe I am still testing???

That’s quite amazing @TerryPG

I’m at home at the moment so therefore seeing something quite different. Dragging the map over to that side of the island, I see similar (but not the same posts).

As I scroll, I see “same place, different LG with different photo”, “same place with different title, by different LG”, “same LG, different photo of different place”, and “LG and place not represented in my list”. Not sure how long ago you took those screenshots, but clearly the list is constantly changing in a short sppace of time.

But am I missing the point of your question? Mine are not displayed side by side. Each photo is full screen width and I have to scroll up or down to see another. Is that a Tablet you’re using, rather than a Phone?

@TerryPG I responded first to the final post where you tagged me, but now I’m looking back and see the beginning of the thread. No, I do not have that new format, and would not wish for it. Why would Google Maps try to force FOUR photos into the space where formerly only ONE photo was properly displayed??

Hi @tony_b I took that screenshot about an hour ago and I did have to scroll down a long way to find you. As I am new to the area “explore” will show me a lot of posts whereas as you check “explore” once in a while it might only show you the most recent, hope this helps.

yes I think maybe I may be a tester.

So today I examined my daughters Maps and explore and she has the original look and has the ability to add Captions which she did. Question for @Rednewt74 ? Did you get your Caption option back??

So I think maybe I may be testing, not sure?

@TerryPG ,

By captions back, I assume you mean the one where you get 10 points?

No, it isn’t back yet. I am a Google Maps beta tester. I am not sure how that affects what features I have or don’t have.

@Rednewt74 @TerryPG Someone had previously explained where to find and use the Captions feature, but I can’t remember and can’t find the comment. Can one of you remind me?

@tony_b ,

No comments option

Not seeing this on my end but I am intrigued at this setup, @TerryPG - much easier and quicker to digest what’s going on nearby at a time than previously. Seems like it may be an A-B test but I’m hoping this rolls out eventually!

I agree @SP31 I got used to it and preferred it but unfortunately when I woke up and checked this morning it was back to the original way. :sweat:
