Here is another new change the Google Maps brought to us.
Many of us using methods to Clean The Map from wrong/spam data and now Google made the closing/removing interface more clean and user-friendly.
The goal of the options prepared in the closing/removing window is like the past but each one has an icon that follows the same UI design as new changes in the category interface.
Moreover, by selecting each reason we’ll see another page with more clear descriptions about the action, which is good for guiding users, and also a great design that is a symbol of the action. Also, there is a button here to add a photo for the edit, if some exist for better describing the conditions of the edit.
I didn’t had the opportunity for testing this kind of edit yet, but I am sure that the new interface will for sure help to choose how to close a place in a better way.
@Amiran I had just noticed it too when I was out on a trip this afternoon to collect some pics for the recap post of the Clean the Map session last weekend (of some of the businesses I edited during the live session).
What I really like is the fact that there is an extra sentence to explain what is meant with the various reasons and the fact that you can submit pics to provide evidence.
I remove many private homes from the map. But I find the interface too slow with animations, and many close pop up buttons at specific place complete different place on screen. I would help with many more edits if the remove function was much faster and required much less clicking to get out of the edit once done
