New interface for closing/removing on Google Maps

Hello,

Here is another new change the Google Maps brought to us.

Many of us using methods to Clean The Map from wrong/spam data and now Google made the closing/removing interface more clean and user-friendly.

The goal of the options prepared in the closing/removing window is like the past but each one has an icon that follows the same UI design as new changes in the category interface.

Moreover, by selecting each reason we’ll see another page with more clear descriptions about the action, which is good for guiding users, and also a great design that is a symbol of the action. Also, there is a button here to add a photo for the edit, if some exist for better describing the conditions of the edit.

In fact, I didn’t use Maps a few hours ago and @SamanS informed me about this new change and again it was amazing enough for me to share with you

Thanks Google for surprising us by these simple nice and continues changes

This is a good news, @Amiran

I didn’t had the opportunity for testing this kind of edit yet, but I am sure that the new interface will for sure help to choose how to close a place in a better way.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks @ErmesT

Yes, it helps users to better understand what reason is suitable for closing/removing a place.

You’re welcome @NareshDarji

Yes, It is beautiful. I also like this change.

@Amiran I had just noticed it too when I was out on a trip this afternoon to collect some pics for the recap post of the Clean the Map session last weekend (of some of the businesses I edited during the live session).

What I really like is the fact that there is an extra sentence to explain what is meant with the various reasons and the fact that you can submit pics to provide evidence.

This is great @JanVanHaver We’re waiting to see your recap of this great session.

Yes, I also found these descriptions helpful especially for new editors, and help to select the most suitable reason.

I remove many private homes from the map. But I find the interface too slow with animations, and many close pop up buttons at specific place complete different place on screen. I would help with many more edits if the remove function was much faster and required much less clicking to get out of the edit once done
