@ErmesT hello sir i recently find out that there should have be a additional feature of detection of similar/same photo during uploading a photos /videos in the google map because sometimes we accidentally post 2 or more same photos are posted accidentally due to lack of memory.

Hi @babai

I do agree with you, but it is not very difficult or time-consuming to check for duplicates in your photo contribution list.

Another tip is to never follow any of the upload photos prompts from Google Maps. They make it very difficult to remember which photos you have already uploaded. Instead, I upload my Maps photos in the same order as I took them. This way I never get to upload an image more than once.

First of all thank you so much @MortenCopenhagen sir for your reply but in contribution section where map suggest my gallery photos to upload them where they er taken according to the location then it also recommend a already uploaded photos sometime in that case we some time re-upload the same photo. Hence i am talking for this feature so for.

@babai , there are several reasons to explain why the App to suggest that.

I personally highlighted this issue to Google Maps on 2017, during the Local Guides summit, but looks like it is consuming a lot of resources (there are more than 150 million of Local Guides) and in any case I never trust the suggestions.

I know perfectly where I took the photos, and I select only the ones that are clearly showing the location, not every photos taken nearby. This is one of the good practices that every Local Guide should follow
