The “New Entry and Re-Union of Local Guides” Meetup is a community gathering aimed at welcoming new local guides and providing an opportunity for seasoned guides to share their experiences. This event is a revival of the pre-COVID meetup culture, with a few adjustments to accommodate the changes brought about by the pandemic.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, meetups for local guides were a regular occurrence, providing an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and community building. Unfortunately, in-person gatherings were put on hold due to the global health crisis. However, some online meetups were organized to keep the community engaged during these challenging times.
Event Objectives:

Welcome New Local Guides: The primary objective of this meetup is to warmly welcome new local guides who have recently joined the community. It’s an opportunity for them to connect with experienced guides and gain insights into their roles and responsibilities.

Experience Sharing: local guides who attended meet ups before covid will have a chance to share their experiences, challenges, and successes with the broader community. This sharing of knowledge will be valuable for both new and old guides, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Assistance to Local Businesses: During the meetup, participants will actively engage with local businesses to help them effectively utilize Google Maps and other relevant tools. By offering our expertise, we can contribute to enhancing their online presence and visibility.

Listening to New Guides: The event will create a platform for new local guides to share their thoughts, suggestions, and questions about their journey so far. This feedback will be invaluable in understanding their needs and improving the overall local guide program.
