I have been trying to correct my home address for weeks via the standard address correction procedures in google maps and google keeps returning the result of “not applied” to my corrections.

I’m at a loss and very frustrated. Currently google maps sends my deliveries to an address over a mile away. Worse, when I had an emergency this summer law enforcement couldn’t find my house for over 20 minutes.

I’ve written to google via googleone support and again, nothing. I can provide a link to the county records showing exactly where my address is.

If someone could please help me I would be ever so grateful.

I think it’s relevant for you to seek help on this in the Maps support forum.

Have you already tried that?

If you explain the problem and provide precise info on the correct GPS coordinates I hope someone will escalate your issue to the relevant team.

Hi Morten, thank you for your reply.

Support, which I contacted via the help center at google maps, suggested I post here. I’ve sent them the corrected address as well as a link to my county records and they haven’t fixed it. They keep sending me the same cut and paste type responses, outlining the steps to submitting an address problem - which I’ve done over and over, even sending them screen shots proving I’ve done all this.

I feel like I’m going around and around in circles with every various google support or community group sending me someplace else! I’ve spent so many hours on this I want to pull my hair out.

Is it helpful to post my gps info here? If anyone knows a better way of having this escalated I would be over the moon.

The normal procedure to fix an address is “Fix an address” from Help and Feedback on Google Maps App.

Yes, as I stated in my original post, yes. I’ve done this over and over. Exactly as outlined.

Hi Angie,

I appreciate your help but as I’ve explained above those are the steps I’ve taken. Exactly. Perfectly.

The issue is that after doing the exact steps outlined my changes are marked “not applied”.

Moving this thread into ‘how to’ isn’t helping me, neither is just having the steps I’ve already followed repeated over and over.

Can someone please tell me how to get the changes I’ve submitted applied?

Thanks for the feedback, @sagebrushsea , I wanted to be sure about the procedure used by you.

I am sorry about your issue. Let’s try a different way: you can submit the issue trough the Google Maps Help Community , with a link to an official Map of your area, that is needed to fix a mistake in Google Maps
