Negev Desert Hiking

We hiked to Hod Akev starting from Midreshet Ben Gurion. Hod Akev is a 17-20km hike from Midreshet. We passed through the Tzin river or cave. You could have a dive, if you want. this summer is best for having a dive, although the water is usually cold. We followed the blue trial. Hod Akev is the highest pike. You could obtain maps from Midreshet. It is a more intense hike and we came back to midreshet through the karkash.

We have also done a short hike from Ein Avdat national park to the other side (Tzin). You will need to a car to pick back to where else you are going to. We passed through the canyons and the monk cave to the Tzin. This is a shorter hike for 2-3hrs. It is beautiful short hike with river flowing between the canyons. I am not that very versed with all the region but gradually learning.

There is also a crater in Mitze Ramon. I did it once with a group.

I hear too that hiking in the north is interesting. I hope to hike there soon

Great pictures @Natureexplorer !!!

Could you share some specific locations? What kind of trail from where to where did you take?

I visited only the cities above, didn’t go down to trails yet.

Saludos Farid
