In our city most of the businesses doing spam activity in Google My Business. In each industry they are manipulating Google Maps result by adding spam keywords in map. They are mainly adding lots of keywords in business name.
You can check below screen shot or check out results by searching these terms - “SEO company in Ahmedabad” or “Astrologer in Ahmedabad” or “ss pipe in ahmedabad”
=> I started suggest & Edit spam businesses, For the few days Google update businesses in instant basis. But after few days Google stop accepting my request because may Google think single user sending too much request. But the issue of Suggest & Edit was If I correct business name(Remove Keywords from Business Name) within few days the owners add keywords again.
=> Then I move ahead with this form, I submitted more than 500 listing and many of them got suspended!! But After Covid 19 pandemic they don’t take down any spam business. I think Google My Business form built for fraudulent activity. So they don’t remove any of them.
What your thaought on this. Is there any way to stop spamming in Google My Business??
Just adding “in Ahmedabad” is proabably not sufficient to have Google step in. In the rules there is one exception that allow chain stores to add the city name to their names. But adding keywords repeating or specifying further the category is never ok.
The screenshot you added is not readable on my end. It would be better if you mentioned one or maybe two examples of keyword spamming and mention when you used the redressal form on them.
Due to COVID-19 there might still be some delay in getting things cleaned up.
Did you use the Redressal form on just a single very clear issue just to be sure it is not working?
I can’t believe that 20 out of 2 business names didn’t have keywords stuffing in a business name. Also, most of the businesses use keywords as a business name like “SEO Company” or “Best SEO Company in Ahmedabad” or “SEO Company Ahmedabad”.
Also, Business Redressal Complaint Form mentions this line in the header section >> If you simply need to correct an incorrect business name, phone number, or URL, do not use this form.
That means they will not take any action on my requests. I feel I wasted my time. and this is not for the single terms or category or location. Most of the Google listings are spam-filled up with spam business names, target single addresses with multiple locations & more.
There is ZERO hope for those businesses who are following Google My Business Guidelines.

Now It’s more than 24 days gone still there is no single action taken against these spam businesses !!
I think there is no one person available at Google My Business Spam Department.
If I want to advertise my business. Google Provides instant CALL, CHAT, SCREEN SHARING, EMAIL support.
I think Google does not want to remove spam businesses because once the fake listings are removed the real businesses will rank on the #1 page and they will stop paid ads.
I hope, In the future, Someone from Google leaked these scam documents, like FACEBOOK PAPERS(https://cutt.ly/0YMt4Np) and the headlines will be, HOW GOOGLE FALSELY MAKING MONEY BY NOT REMOVING SPAM BUSINESSES AND INDIRECTLY FORCED USER FOR PAID ADS.
The businesses you reported have been reviewed and the necessary actions were taken. Keep in mind that it could take some time for the changes to be visible publicly.
Just 5-6 Businesses just removed spam keywords from the business name. The remaining businesses(more than 95 businesses) even added more keywords in business name in the last 2 days.
And now you come with answer that the businesses are reported and take some time for the changes to be visible publicly.
