Need help: Accurate road edits in Cambodia & Idea for a 'Trusted User' tier

Hi everyone,

I am currently trying to fix and add accurate road information in Cambodia, but I am facing some challenges with the moderation queue taking a long time or edits not going through. Does anyone have specific tips or best practices on how to successfully edit road data here?

Additionally, I would like to ask if the Google Maps team is considering implementing a ‘Trusted User’ tier? It would be incredibly helpful if users with a proven track record of accurate edits could bypass the standard moderation queue. This could protect map accuracy and speed up vital updates.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I think your fellow countyrman @SophatCHY can guide you best. He has asked the same questions in the past. He is at Connect Live in Singapore right now. So it might take a few days for him to respond. Or you can search Connect to find his topics.

They are there together.

I didn’t know. Then maybe they could have old fashioned face to face conversation :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yeah sure :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I can help you if you want. You have add only 7 roads! Is your approval rate is low?this means your technique is not the best.

What do you mean by fixing roads? Do you change roads name or alignment? I don’t recommend!

Focus on adding roads not fixing and improve your technique. Short segment, stop before shadow, trees.

There is no trust and I agree with Google.

I’ve been wondering the exact same thing since last year!

I ran into the same issue, and adding or editing roads is definitely not easy. The best advice I’ve gotten so far is to split the road addition and the road name addition into two separate steps/submits. If my initial edit gets rejected by Google, I usually just re-submit it.

Thank you @ALG87 for your detail support.
