Necklace Point - A mesmerizing natural jewel near Bhor

If you are travelling on the Pune - Bangalore highway, this beautiful place is just a 7-8 km detour from Kapurhol. Situated on the Kapurhol - Bhor road, this sight shows the stunning view of Nira river flowing through the lush green fields taking curves that makes a perfect shape of a Necklace around the fields.

The river usually flows during monsoon and until late December as the water comes from the nearby dam. The bhatghar dam is just few kms away and it is a really nice picnic site in itself.

The nearby town Bhor also has some historical connections and the Bhor palace is a witness to that. If you want to travel to konkan, this route is the shortest and has the view of Varandha ghat. The ghat section is usually closde during monsoon.

But after seeing bhor and necklace point one can go back on the other side of the highway where one can visit the Purandar fort and a copy of Balaji Mandir inspired from Tirupati.

It can be a one day outing from Pune without too much hectic travelling.

Did you visit the necklace point recently?

I have been planning to go there for a long time and want to know how the traffic is.

With increasing awareness about this place, I only wish this does not become a messy place over time.

Hello @TusharSuradkar , this photo is not recent but yes I have visited it recently. On weekends you’ll find some traffic for sure. It has not become a messy place yet but your guess is also right. People usually spend 15-30 minutes here.
