Uthayagiri is a small village located in the Idukki district of the Indian state of Kerala. The village is situated at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by hills and forests.
Geologically, the Idukki district is a part of the Western Ghats, a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of India. The Western Ghats are known for their rich biodiversity and unique geological features.
I and our family arranged a trip to Vagamon.It was March30th,2023 and arrived in the evening.What abeautiful sigt was,Amazing and awesome.Where ever we view,we can see beautiful mist and misty clouds.We started journey from Ernakulam then to Muvattupuzha,Thodupuha,Muttom,Moolamattom and our Destination Vagamon.We stayed at Tabour hills inernationals.Very nice place,we felt comfortable there.Next day morning we went for site seeing,pedestial boating,monastries and mountain medows.Third day we are preparing to return.This time we selected another route.From Vagamon to Erattupetta then to Pala,Koothattukulam,Puthan Cruz,Kakkanad,Cusat and Ernakulam Kalamassery.
We whole family enjoyed the trip.With us our 6 year old grand son was also cheerful.It is a beautiful place for families and friends to picnic and pilgrimage.
