Nature Walk: Karura Forest

Hi guys…

When was the last time you spent time in nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of your busy everyday life?

Here’s my proposal: a fun afternoon out on the trail, where we can interact and meet new people. Aaaaand, you can also plant a tree if you like. But the office tells me tree planting activity won’t start until the rains come. Cross your fingers, folks.

So come join me as we bond on nature on the 13th of April 2019 starting from 10 am. We will be entering from the Gate A entrance: the one on Limuru Road, opposite the Belgian Embassy.

The park charges entry on daily basis as follows:

Kenyan Citizens: ksh 100, sh 50 for kids

Residents: ksh 200 per adult, kids sh 100

Non-residents: ksh 600 per adult, sh 300 for kids

Cars are also charged 100 bob for entry, and you can hire a mountain bike to go around with for sh 500 for two hours (extendable).

I look forward to seeing you guys there. Carry your charged phone and outdoors spirit, coz we’re gonna be doing it majorly. See you then!

Hi @babyb01 ,

This is a great idea for a Meet-up, but I think it would be easier if you create your event on our Meet-Up platform.

Once your meet-up is approved, it will automatically appear as a post in the Meet-up section of Connect. This way more Local Guides will learn about your plans and may be interested to participate.

Here is more information that may be helpful, especially if it’s your first time hosting:

Thanks for the insight, @RadieN

I’ll do that right away.
