Nature Lover or a Social Butterfly?

Check these pictures below and let me know what you see?

Notice Something?
Anything common in all the images above?
A pattern?

I’ll tell you what—The other day while checking the latest photographs in my phone’s gallery, I observed a pattern—a pattern of bridges and trails, Natural life, Flora & Fauna of all shapes and sizes.

This spawned a movement to go back to Google Photos and verify, so I did a little look back and to my surprise, I found not just a few but an awful lot of pictures —all contain Bridges/Trails of some sort.

A major reason for which, I figured, inevitably was my frequent mini staycations at Nature Trails lately.

The truth is, Florida, in a way, sparked an urge to explore Nature trails on a frequent basis, and its equally true that I’m still keeping the spark alive without getting affected by the fact that I left Florida months back. All these photographs remind me of-

The spectacular Vista I once set my eyes on,

The colors I simply couldn’t take my eyes off of,

The earthy hues that instinctively prompted me to capture them.

The kind of transformation Nature brought to me as well as to my phone was that my device, which, a year ago was packed with selfies, is now saturated with snapshots of Plants, Trees, Barks, Bridges, Maple Leaves, and the list goes on. Apparently, Tides have turned!

Did this ever happen to you?

What’s more interesting though is that all of these pictures tell a story, some stories are seasonal, some geographical and other tropical.

It has even come to a point where at present, all I find in my gallery is Medley of Nature,(all shapes and sizes) which sometimes makes me wonder am I truly a Nature Lover now? Am I under Nature’s Spell? Who knows!

All of this, give rise to more interesting questions-

If given a chance, would you visit the Tallest Skyscraper or the Longest Nature Trail?

Do you love the countryside or the Metropolitan?

Are you a Nature Lover, a backpacker, a Social butterfly or a combination?

Dear @ReemaGandhi

really nice pictures. I love this kind of hiking as well.

Last weekend I have been here

I enjoy nearly once per week to hike in the alps. Fresh air and good food.

As I use barefoot shoes I prefer more natural ways, but indeed nature ridges are very interesting too and I like to walk on them as well.

please remember about the 1.000 picture restriction on Connect. Best is to create a googlephoto album and share a link here.

@ReemaGandhi Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Those photos are amazing. I like hiking too. Did you hike on the trails of those places?

Hello @ReemaGandhi

Beautiful photos. I surely love metropolitan areas and staying in touch with people constantly. I love metropolitan attractions and feeling part of a big community at any moment. But still this doesn’t prevent me to appreciate also the countryside and the peace of nature: so I would surely like to go hiking in these places sometimes, even if maybe I’m not that kind of person who would like to have the house in the middle of a silver. Anyway, I think to be a combination of the two.

Hi @TorM Where was this beautiful photo taken?

You know what hiking is now a part of my family’s weekend activities, and I cannot deny how much fun it is. But I’m unaware of Barefoot shoes, are they meant for this purpose?

And thanks a lot for reminding me about the photo limit, It takes me hours to just decide upon which photos to share. Looks like I’ll have to figure that out soon.

I think you would like to be here. It is the silence in the mountains with some cows around. @ReemaGandhi

Hello @Ant_Bad_Yogi

Thank you so much for your words!

Yes, you are right! I captured all these images above while hiking through the nature trails. Some of those were taken in Forest Preserves and others in state parks.

Unlike Chicago, Florida’s all year round warm weather allowed us to explore Nature Trails, waterfront parks frequently, they’re mostly free of cost and utterly peaceful.

How often do you hike?

You must be an interesting person @user_not_found a combination of both extrovert and introvert. Do you live in the Metropolitan area?

You won’t believe that I was always a Metropolitan admirer, however, it changed only lately when I explored Nature Trails and preserves, they are awfully peaceful.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate it.

Yeah @ReemaGandhi I live in the big metropolitan area of Milan. Despite being a big European metropolis, it is not the classic gray city but it has actually various little natural oasis like this one. Quality of life in general is very great. Even inside the same city area one can alternate peaceful moments to more busy moments. Also there are areas like the city center which are obviously very crowded, while there are also very quiet areas: there are many contrasts inside the city at the end.

@ReemaGandhi Thank you for your reply. I hike during vacations, 3 times a year. You may check my posts out if time permits. Glad we like something in common.

You’re so lucky to be living in a place people usually dream of, but tell me something, if Milan is truly a wonderful city to reside in?

I mean it’s different when you simply visit a place as a tourist/outsider, how good is it to actually live there? @user_not_found

You get to vacation 3 times a year? @Ant_Bad_Yogi Now that’s something cool! Better than going for a hike, I must say (:

And I’d definitely check out your posts.

@ReemaGandhi I have 18 days for vacation. So I try to spread them in a year. Each time, I take 5 days for a vacation. I always visit countries that not too far from home, for example Japan.

Hello @ReemaGandhi

Milan faces still some problems like thieves in subway station, scams for tourists in the city centre, and in general, typical problems of big metropolitan areas. And well, it’s a generally expensive city, especially if you stay in the fashion streets (Milan is a nevralgic centre for fashion, even Prada has their headquarters here). In my opinion, in terms of services, cosmopolitism and integration of different cultures, projection to the future… Milan is better than many other Italian cities. And despite being a big city yeah, it still has many green areas. Anyway I wouldn’t call it a “dream place”: Milan, like other cities, has its own problems. I would call it a beautiful city where to live. Like many other places in the world. I don’t even think it exists a “dream place” at all in the world.

What an interesting and beautiful experience @ReemaGandhi hehe! I liked the photos of the waterfront. A while ago I also did a tour of the waterfront of my city, I leave the link to my publication in case you are interested in reading it: Walking the Costanera Of Ushuaia  Thank you!
