Further, from the use of the word La, I guess that to be a mountain pass in the Himalayas. However, where is it exactly? Does going there need specific permissions similar to a visit to Nathu La?
Yes I visit there personally. Goecha -laa at Sikkim is the 5th highest traking rout in Asia . This pass is really like heaven, if you lucky you get snow fall also. Total 8 days treking. Treking trailS starting from Yaksum then visit- bakhim, Tahoka, Dzongri, fedang, Thangsing,Lamune, then Goecha - laa, and back to yaksum. It is a nice trek. Best time of visit is August to Nevember. Yes there need a permission for Kanchenjunga Reserve Forest. But don’t warry your guid or agency arrange all the permission. Your duty only walk and enjoy the nature. I recommend you that contact with guid derectly. All agency charge to much . If you need I will give you The mobile number of guid.
