To celebrate Earth Day this year, albeit a bit belated, here are some photos I took with the theme: Nature in our Hands. 
While walking in San Tan Mountain Regional Park, I spotted a small turtle pond across from the nature center. There was a sign in front, and next to it was a small sculpture of a bird. I imagined a scene from a Disney movie, where birds from the forest fly over to a castle window and perch on the maiden’s fingers.
Continuing along the path at San Tan, I spotted a playful sign of a desert hawk. Is he trying to grab my water bottle…or is he trying to help me open it? 
Another day, while strolling in Apache Junction, the skies were grey and rain was coming. I shook hands with a cloud in the sky.
