Nature and architecture (heritage) is what inspires me mostly when contributing on Google Maps or Local guides. This is what makes us as humans richer, so also our duty to keep that for the future generations too!
Yes, I am an idealist and I want to believe we can safeguard the nature. Therefore marking these valuable spots, to signal them, tell others hey this is a very nice place, but also to warn, to say, please admire it, enjoy it, but also respect it because this is everyone’s treasure.
And more particularly the nature spots that have impressed me most are often linked to water as a magic element, but also places that just blow your mind and let you dream like abrupt cliffs, waterfalls, lakes with cristaline water or just an astonishing landscape from a mountain or from a viewpoint.
Moreover it has been also fascinating to see animals from a near distance. Kids are always more than happy and mine are no exception. Watching sloths in a rescue center in Costa Rica has been such an amazing experience in this regard, specially with explanations about how to protect the animals and keeping not so close to humans so they can integrate again back into wildlife. In my opinion this can help us raise our awareness about the importance of preserving not just the nature but also the fauna in our planet.
