This meetup is hosted in parallel with the “Local Guide Monument Month”, a great initiative by BishowvijayaP in September. This photo walk is going to be an interesting photo walk in the National Museum of Sri Lanka. We will have an expert on monuments in the museum, where he/she will explain anything you want to know about monuments and museum. Before the photo walk, there will be a small session to introduce the museum. You will hear about the history of the museum, who contributed to developing it, what are the exhibitions in the museum, etc…. To take photographs inside the museum, you must buy a permit. The entrance ticket will be Rs. 60/= for Sri Lankans and the permit to take photos will be Rs. 250/=. If you want to do a video, the permit cost is Rs. 2000/=. We will meet near the ticket counter of the museum. It would be great if you can bring your DSLR, 360 cameras to take photos of the museum. After the meetup, we can have snacks and tea at the museum canteen.
