I really like eat extraordinary and interesting dishes.
When I visit a countries i will try eat national dishes.
When I visit a countries i try taste them national dishes , because I am a gastronomic tourist.
I was born in Podilia region in Khmelnitskyi city.
I thing that it will be interesting for you to know a little about the cuisine of Ukraine, in particular the region in which I live.
If you ever go to Khmelnytskyi I recommend you to visit the restaurant “Spigel Restaurant”.
It located in city centre near central city park Shevchenko. You can taste true cuisine of Podilia here. Also you can learn something about our region and history of my city The restaurant is only 6 years old, but it is a popular destination among tourists.You can taste there deserts and main dishes.The restourant offers you taste lunches too.
Now about dishes.
Hare you can taste the traditional dishes:
- Mamaliga with cracklings
- Golubtsi with rabbit meat
- borscht with meat
- Cake with chease
- The bone marrow with vegatables
- Strudel with cherries.
You can also drink traditional Ukrainian herbal tea and and more others drinks.You can also taste traditional ukrainian horilka here.
Best to drink it cold with traditionsl ukrainian snack- salo.
Now its time to say you about 2 dishes which i like very much.
First it mamaliga with cracklings.
Its a traditional ukrainian porridge.
The peasants often ate it with cottage cheese.
It was possible because the peasants in Ukraine for centuries kept 2-3 cows in them own farm.
The restourant offers you taste porridge in traditionnal recipe.
Strudel with cherry.
I recommend taste thistraditional dessert.
The residents of the cities cocked this dessert for the holidays.
It served with powdered sugar with cherry jam in the middle.

Khmelnytsky until 18th cetury to 1941 was a city where lived a large diaspora of Jews.
For gourmets i recommend try a bone marrow. This delicious meal is served with garlic, potatoes and vegetables.

food establishments with modern cuisine, including Italian, Japanese and American.
