Chicken Ingkung comes from the word “manengkung” which means to pray to God with sincerity. The chicken is the main component in the cone. Ayam Ingkung has a philosophy that cannot be ignored in Javanese culture. Chicken is a symbol of gratitude and enjoyment is gained in the world because of God’s power. Only good and delicious chicken is an offering, which is why it is served in a whole and beautifully arranged.
The dish of ingkung chicken in this photo was used to celebrate our 14th school anniversary in 2018 ago. After the rice is cut to give to important figures from the school, we will eat it together afterwards
