Hi everyone
I’m trying to become more active on Local Guides Connect.
It has been a tad confusing with what to do and when as there are so many options.
I thought to start small with what I’m good at - Photography.
Below are some images of the Nan Hua Buddha temple in Bronkhorstspruit, South Africa.
This is one of my favourite places to go and we will be making a tradition of it for each New Year coming.
They have a lovely festival where you can have your child blessed by a monk (children up to 5 years of age)
It’s a beautiful and tranquil place and also the only Buddhist temple I know of in South Africa.
Being a practicing Buddhist I wish there was a temple closer but at the same time I’m appreciative that this place is out of the way of the city.
I hope you enjoy as much as I do

@LeeBee-SA your son is so lovely. Actually in Thailand as known we most are Buddhist, we have the temple look like this temple also.

Hello
Do you mean ‘Thailand’ by any chance? I’ve been to the Big Buddha in Phuket as well as the one Buddhist temple in Koh Samui

Hi @LeeBee-SA thanks for sharing your experience about Nan Hua Temple, the photos looks great and colorful. Please note that uploading too much photos at a time is not a good idea, each local guide have a limit of 1000 maximum photos to upload here, preferable, you can upload them on google drive or photos, then you share the link here, by doing that those photos which you shared as a link wont count here, meaning that you have saved your space here.

Sorry @LeeBee-SA I just saw my typo…yes I mean Thailand but temples, they don’t have same layout or construction. But temple as link I sent to you had same construction and layout as temple in your post.
Next time when you reply and you need to refer to anyone , better to put @ in front of that one’s name to notify him/her about your mention

Hi @Raphael-Mahumane
Thank you for that info.
I purposely added these photos as I wanted to depict the rich culture and love I have for the temple as much as possible, but yes, for bigger posts for future I’ll just share the link through my Google Photos.
You seem quite integrated with the Guides community. I aspire to reach your level of knowledge.
Thanks again

@LeeBee-SA thanks for that, it is nice seeing them, you can put two or three but not more than that. I spend more time reading others’s posts here that is how I collect more information. without going trough people’s posts you wont know what can be done here and what you can not do.
