MYSTICAL CITY OF TEOTIHUACAN

Hello there

In this post Iwould like to show you one of the best places in Mexico, We are a fantastic country, we are not guilty of the bad politicians that we have, we are not all stealers or drug dealers as some people think or says, We have roots, we have culture, we have traditions and we are good people.

One of the things that we have to be proud is our indigenous roots, that civilizations made a lot of great buildings, they have rules, they were not savages and they were really intelligent, so I think that the heritage that we receive from them, it is invaluable.

When you visit places like Teotihuacan, you really feel good vibes, you start to think about how could they do that buildings if they did not have architects or the technology that we have in these days, we you walk around of this place you can imagine the things that they did or how they lived.

Teotihuacan is an ancient Mesoamerican city nearby Mexico City, you can drive or take a bus that takes 30/45 minutes to get there. Teotihuacan was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was settled as early as 400 B.C. and became the most powerful and influential city in the region by 400 A.D. By the time the Aztecs arrived to the valley, they began to explore the limits of their lands and they found this abandoned city, nobody knows what happened with the teotihuacans, some people think that they just move from here.

Teotihuacan covers about 8 square miles (20 square kilometers). The main buildings of Teotihuacan are connected by the Avenue of the Dead or Miccaotli in Nahuatl, the original language that the population of the center of Mexico had. The Avenue of the Dead is a long road, when you begin to walk from the entrance the you are gonna walk through this Avenue and you will see the pyramids and some other buildings that were houses or buildings used like schools or churches

The most important structures are The Pyramid of the Moon, the Pyramid of the Sun.

As you can see is not accesible to everyone, the Aveniue of the Deaths has some stairs so if a person with wheelchair wants to visit this place, they have to need some help to make the tour around the pyramids. Also if you have not goof physical condition I recommend to you to take your time to go upstairs, no rush and is not a competition so take your time to enjoy this place.

Hello @CarlosMonroy ,

Thank you very much for sharing this great post! I agree that you have to be proud of your amazing country and all these incredible historic sites.

Your photos are fantastic, thank you for them as well! I have always been fascinated by these ancient towns and monuments and I’m wondering how they can be constructed so perfectly. Teotihuacan must be very famous tourist attraction, is it very crowded? I hope I will have the change to visit it one day!

@RadieN This place is huge so the only part that is always crowd is the top of the pyramids so do not worry about tha amoun of people, you can move and see everything perfectly.
