#MyMemories - Photos of Belur & Halebid where Heritage Lives even today - TravellerG

Caption: Cover Photo

This is Post 1 of 5 & Here is post 2 of 5.

In this “Photo Walk”, I am sharing a few photos of marvellous creations in the Chennakeshava Temple, Belur & Hoysaleswara temple, Halebid. This Photo-Walk series will be of 5 posts, carrying 6 photos each, showcasing the details of sculptures.

You can see the details of each frame & imagine the man-years, each sculpture would have taken. Each sculpture may have stories of generations of some families, while one may take days to read the mythological story & sub-stories behind them.

These shots are from a Photo-Shoot session conducted in 7, 8 or 9 January 2015.

My request: Kindly try to view these photos in a high-resolution PC or TV -

Impressive photos @TravellerG

I visited Belur in 2015 & Halebidu in 2019.

I remember your post of Halebidu here on Connect. Factually, that post influenced me to make a detour to Halebidu while on the way to Madikeri. Thanks for reviving the memory.

“…want to visit the place & admire it…” - you are fully right, @RosyKohli

The guide at the Halebid told us that he can explain each temple for a week - still the explanation will not be complete…

So powerful sculptors with meaningful mythological explanations…

That information is useful @TravellerG
Nevertheless, we get little choice in the hardware of a phone.

But, to know something deeper has become a way for me.
When two manufacturers offer the same functionality but with a stark price difference, knowing such stuff helps to drill down the reasons & then expose the likely vulnerabilities in the offering.

Absolutely true, now with 108 MegaPixel Camera, 7P LENS system [shall explain this - interesting], 60/90/120 Htz, taking " Mobile Gaming" as a feature, etc. along with numerous models at multiple layers of prices - together are really confusing.

I suggest a simple way: probably I use this technique for all my gadgets.

A quick guide - not prepared in detail (Shall do later)

  1. Clearly write down all your requirements, including your budget.

  2. Give a blind eye to features which are not directly connected with your “NEEDS”.

  3. Make yourself to compromise slightly in look, weight, size, the so-called ‘build quality’ (always this may not be the case- Ex: a good quality plastic case maybe even better than a cheap metallic case).

  4. To me I do give priority in Caseras (More a Sony Fan)… otherwise I keep my mind open for the brand - I give priority quality.

Now I search for gadgets/Items/models in Google

  1. Select a few…

  2. Go for customer reviews & compare to our Needs.

I even make Google Sheets for my records.

Hope these points may help a bit.

@TravellerG IIncredible pics!! But what is the system you used, using HTML or loading the photo directly in LGC with 1000 pcs limite? Other secrets to know? :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh… NO… my dear friend…

In fact,

I spend almost 6 to 8 hours a day in assisting Google Guides; I also have collaborating WhatsApp groups.

Kindly read This Post which will explain to you how to insert photos in LG Connect, without affecting your 1,000 photos limit (also with more features). Kindly TAG me if you find any difficulty in achieving the final result.

Please let me know if you need any assistance - thanks
