Dear Friends,
A request - if you like the photos, can I request you to kindly TAG your friends, please? - let them also enjoy - right? - thanks for your favour.
This is a series of Photo Posts where I am going to introduce One animal in each post. Most of the photos are from different Zoos including Mysore Zoo, Vandaloor Zoo, Nandankanan Zoo etc. - in this post, let us discuss Albino Blackbuck.
Have you ever captured any photos of any wildlife? Can you give me company by publishing your shots?
The White Buck or Albino Blackbuck
The Albino Blackbuck is very rare and these photos were clicked from the Mysore Zoo.
As the name indicates, Blak Bucks are widely seen in Dark brown/black in colour - The Albino phenomenon is caused by the deficiency of pigment melanin. This albinism makes the Blackbuck skin fully white and this is very rare. The main problem of being seen in white is that these animals are clearly visible & will be hunted by predators easily.
Like the Blackbuck this animal also has the same spiral ringed horns. Albino Blackbuck is also listed in the IUCN red list of least concern.
As an LG Photographer, I have spotted Albino Blackbuck in Mysore Zoo Here.
