Mylapore 5 unknown temple visit

Today I had plans of visiting Mylapore area. In my mind I had only two reasons One is being Tuesday I thought of exploring Amman or Murugar temples and second was Luz corner shopping. So taking an auto from Adyar in about 25minutes I reached Luz corner.

The first temple I stopped by was Sri Nava Sakthi Vinayagar temple. This temple is located at the corner where four roads meet. This temple is known as Luz pillaiyar temple. It’s 40 years old. Devoted to Lord Ganesh.

From this temple taking a left I walked towards Sanskrit college. Exactly 9 minutes away is Sri Apparswami temple. Devoted to Lord Shiva belief is Sri Sekkizhar, Sri Mannikavasagar came here and did Pooja here. You get to worship Sri Adhimoolavar, Sri Brahma, Sri Needhi and Sri Jaya Ganapathy, Sri Aadhi Lakshmi and Sri Veerabadrar. The praharam of the temple is huge.

From this temple entrance you can see Sri Vigneshwarar temple. Crossing the road you reach this temple. Devoted to Lord Ganesh this temple is 25 years old which is maintained by a family.

From this temple taking a left into the small road is Sri Pachai Kolavizhi Amman temple. She appears green in color, where you see Sri Aparna Devi, Sri Shymala, Sri Varahi, Sri Narthana Natarajar and Sri Kailasha Shivan. This temple is 15 years old maintained by a family.

From this temple yards away is Luz Sri Anjaneyar temple. Devoted to Sri Anjaneyar you get to worship Sri Kothandaramar and Sri Venkatachalapathy. Here belief is Sri Anjaneyar is a Swayambhu. This temple is 80 years old.

From here walking straight I reached Luz corner and started shopping. After years got to explore this part of Mylapore which connects to Royapettah bridge.

Very nice post, @Radhika26 .

If you don’t mind, I have suggestions:

  1. Please add the Google Maps locations of each temple so we can notice them on the maps as well.

  2. Please add the photos to the respective locations as your contributions.

Thanks for tagging me, @Nomad_vikram !

Cheers!
