My Wife's Cheese Castel Cake

Kaasstengels or kastengel aka cheese cake is a typical snack that is common in Indonesia. The consumption of this cake usually increases when Eid arrives, especially Eid.

Material: - 300 gr of butter - 350 gr medium protein flour - 50 grams of cornstarch - 2 tablespoons milk powder - 100 gr grated edam cheese - 100 gr grated parmesan cheese Spread: Egg yolks, shake loose Sprinkled: Grated cheddar cheese How to make: - Mix and sift flour, cornstarch and milk powder. Set aside. - Beat the butter for a while until soft. Add edam cheese and grated parmesan, stir well with a wooden spoon. - Enter the flour mixture, stir well with a wooden spoon until smooth and the dough can be formed. - Roll the dough thin then print according to taste. Arrange in a baking sheet without applying margarine. Brush with egg yolks and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese. - Bake in the oven 125 degrees Celsius. Wait until cooked (brownish yellow / golden brown). - Lift and chill. Store in an airtight jar.
