My trip to Jerusalem was planned. well, actually i have only planed to give a short lecture to employers about how -to-make an effective interviews with people with disabilities.
What i didn’t know next is how much joyful the rest of the day will be! ![]()
Just a little note so you can understand the context, one of my colleagues who have joined me to the lecture, shared with me early that morning, that she just got back from her doctor who notify her she has recovered from an early stage of cancer. I was shocked to hear that. I then suggested that we will visit the Western wall - which is a holy place for Jewish believers…
So after the lecture me and two of my colleagues friends, toke the Jerusalem Light Rail to the Machane Yehuda Market / Shuk - an amazing, colorful market with a fresh food and ingredients. I felt the human
spirit of the city inside! andit was delightful to drink sangria in the middle of the dayThen we walked for about 3 km on ‘Yafo’ street and just socked in the atmosphere of the city with the crowded pavements. we entered the old city and walked through the Old City Market,in narrow Alleys that cross the Jewish quarter, the Armenian quarter, the Christian quarter and the Muslim quarter. A lot of goodies to buy ![]()
But i didn’t buy anything - i had a purpose, to reach the Western wall, so my friend, which i had told you about it the first paragraph, will say a pray for her recovering and health.
Finally and easily we have arrived !
all though i’m not religious, i was amazed by the site of one bricks wall and all the prayers from the world.
I am planning to make a longer visit next time with 1-2 nights in an hotel ![]()
