Hello everyone
I decide to post some of my pictures from my travels. I like to travel the world.
First i will start with making a post of my visit to Barcelona.
Sagrada Familia
Sagrada Familia is a remarkable Temple, i think it is one of a kind. You will see this enormous building where you go in the City. The famous architect Gaudi did take over the project of building Sagrada Familia in 1983. He died in 1926 long before the constructions was finished, which are still not finished as you can see on the photo above. But he did finish the designs of the Temple before dying. IT is scheduled to be finish in 2026, which are the 100 anniversary of Gaudi´s death. I plan to visit the city again when it is finish.
Parc Güell
Gaudi has many extraordinary buildings in Barcelona. The another one which i like is Park Güell. Apparently this place was a private estate at the beginning, where the the Spanish entrepreneur Eusebi Güell did give Gaudi the assignment to build a garden city. It did get finished in 1914. Gaudi himself and his family did moved to Park Güell in 1906. This place did get handled over to public in 1929. You need a ticket to get into the building on the photo above, but the park is free and very big. Perfect pace to enjoy the nature.
The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc
The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is a very large and spectacular faountain with display of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics. You will feel the magic when you visit this place. It was built in 1929, since then it pumps 2600 liters of water every second with the help of its 3600 water jets. On selected evenings their is a light show, unfortunately i did not know that, so i did miss the light show. There are escalators but i did take the stairs, i did feel like Rocky Balbao after all those steps.
360 rooftop view of the city
This last picture is from the 360 rooftop view of the city on Las Arenas de Barcelona, which are a shopping center near the Magic Fountain. I got many other pictures of the beautiful city, where i think this is a great picture of a night in Barcelona to end the post with. I did not know this place, but find it accidentally because i was hungry after all those steps.
