My first overseas visit was to Thailand during May 2018. Being my first foreign trip I have planned it in such a way I have noted how to get visa, whether getting visa at my place was better or getting visa on arrival at Thailand was better, and how to spend my time in Thailand etc. Since I booked through tour operator, my only job was to get travel visa. After searching in Google and opinion from other Local Guides, I decided to get visa at Chennai, my place of stay itself instead of getting it on arrival at Bangkok. I have extensively used Google search to map my entire trip in such a way right from starting at Chennai to return to Chennai my trip was a wonderful one. Based on my Photos uploaded in Google Maps, I received lot of enquiries about how to get visa and where to get it for Thailand and so on. Since I noted everything in detail I was able to help those who want to get visa for Thailand and how to go about in Thailand etc. Thanks to Local Guide Program, I updated myself with the places I visited and share the details whenever anyone need help from me as a Local Guide. Also I am immensely happy to note that my photographs have seen my more than 5.50 lac viewers. Thanks to Google for their innovative program like Local Guide Program.
