The complexity of traveling to a new foreign destination has never been more simple through the google ecosystem of travel apps. One is able to book trips and get calendar reminders for upcoming trips with recommendations of what to do at those places. This makes planning simple and traveling more efficient.
I recently went to Brazil (Rio de janeiro), Argentina (Buenos Aires) and Uruguay (Colonia del Sacramento). I do not speak an ounce of Portuguese or Spanish which is widely spoken in these countries. You’d be lucky to find English speaking people here. My wife and I used the Google real-time translator application to converse to people at restaurants, hotels, airports and streets. The same application uses your phone’s camera to translate text to your preferred language in real-time. This was a pleasant surprise not only to my wife and I but also the people we were conversing with. It was simple and fun to use. The other applications that we used that were of great assistance is Google trips and Google maps. We were able to plan our days effectively, found hidden gems (boosting small upcoming businesses) and were able to read reviews of places before we went there. My absolute favorite feature of Google maps is being able to see all the places that I have visited on a map with pictures that were taken at those places. This enhances an experience you’d love to remember.
