Right after Easter Sunday, me and my three friends of 60s, started a long tour from BENGALURU towards the Southern Coast of Tamil Nadu.
It was an awesome and Amazing experience. It was arranged by another close friend who lives in South Africa.
Some Highlights of our Tour
Preparation: from was cMarch, I was involved in Google Maps, marking the routes, distance from place to place, important sites while traveling and around the location we stayed. Complete Route Map was made.
I was more interested in taking Photos and Videos, so I got ready with smart Phones, my DSLR, back ups and other gears.
We hired Toyota Innova Crysta.
We started on 22nd April and returned on 26th April, covering 1300KM
PLACES WE COVERED DURING THE TRIP
- Visited three locations where
DANISH, FRENCH and BRITISH ruled.
Tranquebar or Tharangambadi was rule by DENMARK from 1620 to 1845
Pondicherry and Karaikal was ruled by French.
British rules rest of India.
We visited historical Churches, Hindu Temples and Nagore Dargah the Tomb of Sufi Saint Nagore Shahul Hamid.
We never missed the beaches at Danish Fort, Karaikal, Velankanni.
The most important facts about all these Southern Coast area we visited was totally damaged during the Tsunami of 2004.
It was a fascinating tour and took me a week to sort out my Photos and videos from and DSLR and slowly I am posting in Google Maps.
