Hi im a local guide contributing to maps from india. I’ve received a mail from google that I have been invited to connect live 2019. I’m having few doubts about this program, I need to know how to enter this connect live program .I have started to contribute to Google Maps to help people know better about places to navigate and in countries like India there are very less local guide to contribute to Google Maps. I wanted to attend the connect live 2019 program to know better about the maps community, some innovative ideas to contribute to maps and also to produce better information to help people on google maps , and i really feel happy to add a place on maps for which people frequently search for . And its fun helping people isn’t it ?
So can anyone tell me some ways to go for the live program which is being held at usa .
And i wish google would consider me attending the live 2019 program .
Yes I also just got the email and would love to apply! The idea of meeting other guides from around the world and being able to network, be shown new innovations by Google etc is just truly mind boggling! I started off just answering a few questions on maps for places I frequent and before I knew it I was posting photos and adding places wherever possible! Now my contributions receive tens of thousands of views and that couldn’t make me more proud!
I wish I would be considered for the connect live but after reading they are only selecting 200 googlers I’m sure they’ll get better applicants than me! It has however given me the motivation and determination to spend this year helping even more people around the world and hopefully by this time next year I’ll have doubled my level and feel a lot more worthy of applying haha!
I’d love to meet other guides from around the world! Indias a cool country, I’ll bet there’s a lot to do and explore around there! Wishing you all the best of luck with your application this year!
Hello sir there google is asking for a video footage in front of camera about the application. And at the end where we submit our response there it asks for the permission to use my video for google’s promotions and its uses ??? How could we agree for that , i mean not all would like to come on an advertisement of google somewhere…
