My name is Marina Buron from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is my story as a local guide.
In 2015 I discovered that I could upload photos on Google Maps. I started shyly when I accompanied my mother to the hospital.
Little by little I was cheering for more and I started with reviews when I saw that they gave me points. This excited me to take and upload photos to all the places I went, hobby type.
In 2017 and 2018, I was presented with the opportunity to make a filmic and photographic record of a cultural trip, where national and international plastic artists would make murals in exotic places in the jungle of Tucumán, Argentina.
This record is uploaded on Google Map so I went up the level, I was also able to make a 24-minute documentary film. In 2019 after the success of Tucumán I was invited to Chile, to the city of Los Angeles and Laja where the same project was carried out.
Walls that were previously abandoned now shine together with the nature of the place.
So many amounts of photographs and discovered places were making it level up. At this moments I am at level 7, and I really want to continue advancing collaborating as a local guide.
I am very interested in documenting the cultural area such as festivals or street art, also travel and nature, and become Google streeviewer.
I am in favor of protecting ecology where I also documented tree felling and environmental pollution that had high impact and were seen by many people.
I am sure that my contribution as a Local Guide in these areas will help create a world of peace.
It seems to me that this is your application post for Connect Live 2020, so I will move it to the Local Stories section which is the right place for this type of posts. Here you can find everything you need to know about writing a post for your Connect Live 2020 application. Don’t forget to review your final post and make sure you are not missing any of the points mentioned. If you are - feel free to edit your publication from the three dots and add them.
