My spots in London as local Londoner

London will always be a city of hidden gems that I come across every day. Every day you walk into London and it awaits with a pleasant surprise for you. The streets, the people, The food and the events. Always Brand new. Its been 9 years for me in London and I am still discovering the beauty and awe this city has to offer. Don’t have time and still want to see the best of London, Follow this list and I’m sure you’ll leave with a memorable experience of what this beautiful city has to offer. Let’s start.

Tower bridge

Every-time I visit Tower Bridge it makes me love London more and more, Its amazing architecture makes it look like a giant toy bridge. I usually check bridge opening timings as well to see the toy bridge opening and let the ships pass by.

You can watch the bridge live here 24/7

Millennium Bridge

With a modern design giving a unique tubular effect, London’s Millennium Bridge is a 330-meter pedestrian bridge linking the City of London at St Paul’s Cathedral with the new Tate Gallery at Bankside.

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a public square in the City of Westminster, Central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. Its name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, a British naval victory in the Napoleonic Wars with France and Spain that took place on 21 October 1805 off the coast of Cape Trafalgar

Neal’s courtyard, London

This small inner courtyard has very local and informal lunch places and juice bars, along with a holistic lotion store. At one end, just outside, is Neal’s Yard Cheese which is not to be missed for its magnificent selection of British Isles farmstead cheeses and the best small-batch yogurts I have ever had. This is truly a local shop where people buy small pieces of cheese and tuck them in their nap sacks to take home.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden is in the West End, London’s main theatre and entertainment area. Tourists fill its elegant, car-free Piazza, home to fashion stores, crafts at the Apple Market and the Royal Opera House. Street entertainers perform by 17th-century St. Paul’s Church and the London Transport Museum houses vintage vehicles. Restaurants with pre-show deals and high-end spots like The Ivy cater to theatergoers.

Soho

The energetic streets of Soho, in the West End, feature an eclectic mix of dining, nightlife and shopping options. Dean, Frith, Beak and Old Compton streets are the epicenter of activity day and night, with long-running Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club calling the area home. Theatre fans head to Shaftesbury Avenue, while shoppers flock to Carnaby Street, Oxford and Regent streets and the iconic Liberty’s department store.

London Eye

There is no other way to enjoy the view of London, Beautiful sunsets covering London skyline. My all-time favorite

The Shard

The tallest building in Europe, but unlike tourists, I visit a few restaurants and bars which are at Shard and usually get a drink there. No better way to enjoy your gin and Tonic overlooking London from the 50th floor and see busy London streets with red buses and Cabs.

St.Paul’s Cathedral

Built on Ludgate Hill, St.Pauls used to be the tallest structure in London before concrete buildings took over.
