My special powers

I can describe local guides as a special power, which gives you the ability to check a place without even being there. Well, at least this is what it means for me - having the ability, which becomes an everyday tool for exploring and unveiling amazing experiences to the world. While traveling abroad physically I also travel virtually, I guess. Exploring the areas trying to find interesting places to visit, checking experiences of other travelers or locals - that’s how I usually get to know about other countries and local culture. Which always helps me a lot on discovering great things.

While getting a lot from Local Guide it is a wonderful feeling to give back and help others. Since I’m a visual artist, I love taking a lot of pictures, basically of whatever I see and mostly all the time. I found it to be perfect for my obsession of taking pictures. In a way I can show my pictures to the public and also encourage people to try new places and things. This is a great way to express myself as a creator too. I always try to caption the moment I feel on site to make sure others can instantly feel the mood and experience I had. Or I can just guide and inspire someone in the right direction to make an impression of places to visit.

I am proud to be a part of this project, to learn new things about it. One of my favorite things about the program is that a score and the level system really pushes me to do more about it and I love it. Sometimes I feel very challenged to making a world a better place. Being a local guide for me means getting to know the world better, which surrounds and connects us and that feeling means a lot to me.

Hello @Bulaka ,

It looks like your post is about this year’s event Connect Live 2020. Check these guidelines first.

Please be advised that I moved your post to Local Stories where applicants should submit their response.
