Today is the 43rd day of my self-isolation. Every day it’s getting harder to stay home. I haven’t gone to the grocery store for 8 days. In our city (Moscow) severe restrictions and fines were introduced. The police is organizing lawlessness. It’s dangerous for people to go out. Anyone who has to go to work, food market or pharmacy should receive a QR code. But even showing a QR code the police can arrest you. They feel their power and violate the rights of our citizens.
I am afraid to leave home so I am reviewing old photos and waiting for the day when I can pick up the phone and take pictures of everything I see, share photos on Google maps, write my reviews.
I read your post. You are well done ! You and I have similar thoughts. I also created a useful list on Google maps.
Every week I donate some money to organizations that bring food to lonely old people and low-income families for free. We must help those who are now harder to live than us
In Germany a whole neighborhood is doing exercises on their balconies, in Italy and Spain they are singing and dancing. Me, here I can’t even talk to my neighbor.
He is talking to me on the phone without opening his window.
By the way @Lily_J isn’t it a little cold on the balcony during this time of the year in Moscow?
Sad to hear you are anguished @Lily_J , not curfew like here in Pakistan single person can move around and police is not imposing fines #LetsGuide#LocalGuides
@Lily_J
Most of us are doing same as you, reviewing our photo archives and awaiting to go out and take photos of almost everything.I miss the nature, flowers, sea, mountains, sculptures, trees and so on,…but at the same time I have a small opportunity to take care of my 400 trees and flowers that make me happy
Hi @JacobLED , yes you are right, we need to rethink about our impact into the world
about your questions I should say, in fact I dont have any farm or garden, but I have planted more than 400 trees and flowers in too different kinds …for instance there are more than 330 numbers of different kind of flowers such as Passion flowers, Roses, Rosa banksiae lutea, purpel Stephanotis Floribunda, Persian buttercup, Anemone, Cytisus, Camellia, and etc. and also more than 70 numbers of fruit trees such as Cherries, Apricots, peaches, pears, medlar and so on, and more than 10 numbers of non fruit trees such as Purple Magnolia, Japan allspice, Judas trees, Red maples, Oak, Cypress Noel, Rock pine, Crazy Willow and many more I love all of them and in fact there is a story behind them, that I will be very happy if I would find a chance to tell the story to the big numbers of local guides in a big meeting (I hope so )
@JacobLED How did you find about my flowers and trees ?
@Navid_Ebdaei I am just amazed reading it with an open mouth. I must say wow. You know, I am not ar away from the nature and grew up with flowers, trees and crops. All kind of green and mushrooms are very big in my grandparents culture.
While reading I was thinking, I wished I would be sitting there with you and listening to each plants and tress story while having a tea with you my friend.
I hope we all meet in the Bay Area and you will have your audience to tell your story.
@JacobLED Thank you for your nice words and complement
My personal story is similar to yours, although I have been grew in big city, but may grandpa was a farmer, so I am pretty familiar with trees and flowers too
I hope we could find that opportunity to tel our stories about plants and nature
Have a nice time and Good luck
Here in India today is the 29th day of the lock-down. Being at home, I am spending my time reading wonderful posts here on Connect, some time of the day meditating to stay calm and positive. Also I love spending time with my family, watching photos of our previous picnics together.
I was particularly impressed with this sentence: “The police is organizing lawlessness. It’s dangerous for people to go out. Anyone who has to go to work, food market or pharmacy should receive a QR code. But even showing a QR code the police can arrest you. They feel their power and violate the rights of our citizens”.
The situation you describe is the main reason why Russia scares me. I know it’s a great nation and I’m sure it would be interesting to visit and that the inhabitants are welcoming, but I don’t trust Russian politicians and policemen.
I’m sorry you have to stay locked in the house not only because of Covid but also because of the police!
Oh thank you remembering me with your post to go more into the woods then seeing people. What we forget. No tree ever harmed anybody.
Why you don’t write down and share your stories on this platform. Me and I believe many others would love to read them when you add to each story some beautiful pictures.
Hi @Lily_J This is Aashish from Johannesburg, South Africa. I think I liked the lockdown as I got active on this LG connect group. I started doing more than 5 km walk everyday which was never a regular in my whole life. Currently crossed around 125km in 21 days. Restrictions are a problem but if you have enough food on the table you will be able to survive. Cheers!!! Aashish
