How I started my journey:
I was on family tour to Junagadh, Gujarat during Christmas vacation and where I had clicked photo of a wild donkey in Sakkarbaug Garden, and the same I posted on google maps. One fine day I got email from Google map team that your wild donkey photographs have been viewed by 5000 plus people and that gave me encouragement to jump into the field of google mapping.
Sometimes it happens after doing a work we feel satisfied and confident on ourselves resulting into positivity in life and that happened to me once I started doing Google Mapping, Photo walk & Map editing.
Let’s map Public Toilets Valsad
When I started Google connect I had no idea how to use it but thanks to co-ordinators like @NareshDarji and @TEJASJANI cooperation and guidance, they told me to join the Swachh Bharat initiative. And after that I joined their whatsapp group. Under their guidance I did public toilet mapping through addresses given by Valsad Municipality and because of which my work was admired by @TiffanyL99 and many viewers as they liked my location, slide show views and photos of the same.
If you are doing work and you get positive support from your team then you enjoy doing that work and plus you put in extra zeal into that work resulting into fantastic results and resulting into doing qualitative work all the time. I would like to thank google team who give comments on my work and whenever I get stuck somewhere they give guidance and do the follow up so that the work gets completed because of which I like to do this work as I have a fantastic team to help me.
This is a famous place in Valsad, Gujarat and it is a beach. Every year Gujarat Tourism department in 3 places helds this beach festival event. The idea is to promote small scale business and artists to get a chance to come on the festival platform and show their skills. All Valsad based Google Local Guide had been here to do this event and we enjoyed a lot.
Very old skeleton of the blue whale is there and also how tribal people lived in the past and worked and other such information is given in the museum.
This initiative was of Mr. @rajuroyal and we supported him in this. In real sense on Google Maps I could see lots of false information given in terms of wrong photos posted and hence we need to support his initiative. We all got together and checked and gave feedback to google Moderators about wrong photos and information being there on the maps and they really like this initiative. We request the Google moderators to look into the same henceforth.
Last but not the main event Navsarjan – Special abled school:
For me this one of best event which I have organized till date.
As I went there as a google guide and also I took cakes and snacks, and the children enjoyed a lot and it was out of the world scene to see them so much happy.
I am a primary teacher and in life importance of basic knowledge in every day Iife I understand. If your basic is very good then in life everything you do becomes very easy to learn, same way if you are good in maths tables then to do sums becomes very easily.
Lastly I would like to say that I love doing this work of Google local guide and the reason for that is local as well overseas people you come into contact and there knowledge they share which is useful to both of us. This media helps in sharing knowledge which in turns results into more knowledge for you. Because of this my family also comes to know about many interesting things and from my side would like to wish all the best to my google maps team.
