At first, I didn’t know about the local guide. I started taking photos in the field during my work as a government Real Appraiser in the Philippines. For about a week in the field, I can bring home so many memories from my photos of interesting places. Since we use Google Map as our tool in our appraisal activities, and I also enjoy photography, I started uploading photos on Google Map which I think beautiful for my eyes and thinking that my photos can help other people to locate those places I visited. I never count how many photos I already posted on Google Map and not knowing what is my level. Then, a time came, when I was surprised to read a message about Local Guides Connect 2019, an invitation from Google for a free trip to California, USA. since I reached the Level 5 category as a local guide. And this was the time to know about Local Guide, and I understand I am now a Google Local Guide.
