Talking about what I love to share in Google Maps, to be very honest, are photos from places I travel to and write reviews because, by that, I can help other people to decide a place to go or, at least, understand what they would encounter in a certain place when they get to there.
For me, contributing to Google Maps is a very true possibility to directly impact on normal people’s lives. I can get to that by seeing the effects of my simple and small actions in improving their experience in the app, reducing the mistakes, adding efficiency in the information provided. More than that, I am inspired to give my share of help to make Google Maps, even more, a reference app to transportation and transit, information in general and a very much tool to the modern world.
Also, for me, another very powerful reason to contribute to Google Maps is the value I receive from the company for the information and improvements I find out or I know. This goes from a simple phone number update for a certain store until precise information about new infrastructures promoted by different cities like bicycle lanes and/ or subway line expansions, new bus stops, new recycling stations or centers, among many others. Is this proximity to the information, and to the good information, that the common citizen has easy access to (in fact it is seeing it every day!), combined with the support from Google Maps that makes me, day by day, more dedicated and inspired to share and contribute more and more to Google Maps.
