my problem solved about not opening of contribution section

I had updated google maps now…

this was the problem behind not opening of the contribution section…

Hi @jetalramnani are you using the latest version of Maps on your mobile? If not update it to the latest. I would also try and clear the local data and cache and then reopen Maps and try again.

This should be in the How-To topic. Please edit your post and change it.

It’s not clear from your post at what stage your phone gets stuck @jetalramnani
That may be either
a) No response from the UI when you click the “Contribute” button
or
b) Clicking the “View your profile” doesn’t show any contributions and says “No posts”. That’s most likely to happen when the app can’t fetch data from the server.

Either you have to wait and try after some time or clear the storage & cache through the settings.
After that step, you may see the old User Interface for some moments. However, that restores to the newer one after some time.

If that doesn’t work, please uninstall & reinstall the app.

However, in any case, you have to provide screenshots of the problematic display as well as inform the details of Device, OS version & Maps version.

Hi @jetalramnani

You may also need to check your photo contributions. We can not upload photos taken by other photographers, photos that are group photos and selfies. Also, photos that are identical or near similar should not be uploaded.

when i click the contribution section then thae Google maps app is opening for just 2 seconds & crashes…

the problem was , i didn’t updated my google maps that’s why i can not open your contribution section…

Thanks for confirming that the problem got resolved after an update to the app @jetalramnani

Nevertheless, the problem was in accessing the “Your Contribution” menu in Connect.

That problem happens when the apps are not updated regularly.

To prevent that, you have to keep the “Auto-update apps” over any network (or WiFi) on, in the settings of Google Play store. That will eliminate any such problem in future.

Further, it’s always better to start a new thread for a new question.

Nevertheless, on the query “How to become a moderator”, you will find many previous answers through the search box at the top.

I’ve tried to replicate the issue:

On desktop everything is fine, while on mobile the link is addressing to “share your experiences” instead to address to my profile, @AngieYC .

This is probably due to the update of the App

Two of your photos (Pisa tower and Taj Mahal) are stock photos from internet, @jetalramnani , BTW this is not the subject of this post, just keep in mind that you can even be removed from the Local Guide program, for using stolen photos.
