My Posts are not showing in Local Guides Connect, they are getting rejected. Please guide me so I can rectify my mistakes.
Hi @RajdeepB
I just released your post from spam quarantine. Our filter is working to protect the community and you from unwanted content, but sometimes it can be triggered by something and remove a legitimate post.
Moderators are patrolling the quarantine to release the good post so, if your post has been rejected, don’t post it again. Simply tag a moderator (check here and here).
For more information you can read: Why was my Connect post marked as spam?
I see four of your post on the spam quarantine. BTW I cannot release them now, so I am tagging a Google Moderator for a check: @Ivi_Ge
In fact, as far as I can see, your posts are assembled with contents (text) that is not originally yours, taken from various websites and assembled together.
I can mention Britannica dot com, as a source of part of your content, but I can mention also wikipedia and other more
In Local Guides Connect we care about author’s right, included yours. For more information please read: How do I follow the original content guidelines on Connect?
The same rules applies to the reviews in Google maps, that should be original, and reflect your personal experience
Hope this can help you
Thank you so much, I have not taken anything from Britannica dot com but I will definitely rectify mistakes and post again.
Thank you for the feedback @RajdeepB
I can guarantees that some part of the text is originally from the Britannica Encyclopedia. This is one of the risk of “taking inspiration” on the web. You don’t know if the author of your source was “inspired” himself.
In the future, when responding, please tag the person you are talking with. For doing that you need to use the @ symbol. A pop-up will appear, with the name of the last local guides who replied in the post. If you want to mention someone else, you have to “slowly” type the username of the person you want to mention, e.g. @LuigiZ
Thank you so much, I was trying to use @ErmesT last time but while posting it was giving some html error. As I am very new in Local Guide Connect posting so I don’t know much features yet, but with time and guidance I will surely learn and improve myself. I already rectify everything I will request you to kindly check once more and I will make sure from future posts there will be no such mistakes like this.
Hi @RajdeepB ,
thank you for the report and thank you very much for the understanding. No worries, there is always to learn and we are here to help you anytime, just remember to tag a Google Moderator or a Connect Moderator.
Thank you @ErmesT for tagging me and taking care.
Thank you for fixing your issue, @RajdeepB
Your four post looks much better now. Authentic, is the correct word.
As I said, here in Connect and in Google Maps, we share our own, original experience, real, and we use our own words.
I want to inform you that I have released your four post. All of them are now visible under your profile.
Congratulations for the beautiful photos
Thank you so much @ErmesT for pointing out my mistakes @JanVanHaver for let me understand the basic motif of posting in Connect and @Julien44 for those wonderful guide links to clear my doubts. Wish you all a happy week end.
Today I have posted one article on How to make your day productive during
quarantine. After publish I can not find the article I have written. Please check what happen with the article. Request for guide. @ErmesT @LuigiZ
Your post has been released, BTW I am not surprised by the filter action. It seem you created a summary of post of the community, and the large amount of links would trigger every filter @PritamDatta
My suggestion is to make a post more “personal”
Thank you @ErmesT for the suggestion & releasing my post. I will definitely keep in mind.
Hi @PritamDatta ,
thank you for tagging me, I see @ErmesT already released it and I follow his suggestion to avoid to make this kind of “summary” because this will definitely trigger the filters because intended as spam.
Hello @LuigiZ again the same article I can not find in my profile. I have rectified all the suggestion received from your guys. PLease help @ErmesT
Hi @PritamDatta
There are no post by you on the spam quarantine.
This means that your post have been probably archived. This may happen basically for two reason:
- Off Topic content. We ask that posts on Connect stay on-topic. What are Connect topics? will help you to understand what are the topics of the community.
- Author’s right violation. In Local Guides Connect we care about author’s right, included yours. For more information please read: How do I follow the original content guidelines on Connect?
In any case, when a post is archived by a Google Moderator, they will let you know, by replying in the post and tagging you. Please check on your email for the tag notification
Today I have posted one article. After publish I can not find the article I have written. Please check what happen with the article. Request for guide. @ermest @LuigiZ
