My photos help filmmakers and users all over the world

Traveling and photographing are two of my hobbies that have accompanied me all my life. Working as a location manager in filmmaking industry, I am constantly on the move and photographing something. With the ability to add photos of places and objects to GoogleMaps, my photos are always available not only for work colleagues, but for people all over the world.

While searching for locations for movie, I had to visit a large number of national parks and reserves, and I am delighted that my photos help beautiful locations and Google users find each other. Often I have to dig deeper than the average tourist and I can post photos of unique places, such as for the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Tustan” and Sopit Falls

In the Palianitsky Regional Landscape Park, most visitors come to the same location - Dovbush rocks, but they don’t realize there are dozens of trails around that will hold extraordinarily beautiful places.

Also my photos offer resort tourists varied choices of natural attractions that can be even more fascinating than restaurants and hotels. For example, there’s the Khomyak Mountain next to the largest ski resort in Ukraine, Bukovel, where they could easily climb the hiking trail.

I always visit cafes and restaurants during my trips and try to add photos of these places to Google Maps so others could decide whether to visit them or not. Here’re some of my favorite - Odessa food market and pub Egan in the heart of Uzhhorod city.

I often notice architectural elements that will be interesting to my friends - designers, art critics, and historians.

A friend of mine is dedicated to preserving of Soviet mosaics. I always send her geolocation and photos so she could add them to the Register of architectural monuments. Another guy I know is an architect who’s in a constant search for new or bygone design solutions for ordinary utilitarian things. Such sights can always be found at the pre-revolutionary buildings, for example Londonskaya hotel.

I visited this hotel for the first time when we participated in Odessa International Film Festival with our movie, and this hotel was the official residence for the participants. By the way, our film won first place in the short meter competition.

But getting back to the subject of film location scouting, I often find really strange and unusual places. For example, the research site for Research Institute Observatory of Odesa National University I. I. Mechnikov, or the remains of a military fortress dating back to World War I which served as a military barracks until 21st century - the Tarakanivskyi Fort
