On Saturday 27th April 2019 I paid a leisure visit to Gomoa Mankoadze, also known as Mankwadze in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region in Ghana. Mankoadze is 10km from Winneba, where I work. It is a fishing village, but not close to Winneba in terms of development and population. Yet Mankoadze has a breathtaking landscape; the beautifully vegetation covered “Manko” hills and the sea provide an amazing scenery for luxurious living. The locals have their own version of luxury which is happiness and the cozy leisure times under the thick canopy of coconut trees at the beach. They have a few small sized resorts, like Keke’s Beach Lodge and also a Vocational College. It’s great to live by the sea and it’s equally great tolive by the Hills. But Mankoadze presents a greater experience of living by the Hills and the Sea. If any one is interested in putting up a holiday cottage at Mankoadze don’t hesitate to contact me.
