Hi Everyone,

My name is Austin from Lagos, Nigeria.

The Google local guides program has really been an impact to me since I signed up for it two and half years ago.

I joined initially without knowing fully well about the community at large, my major and only aim then was to add missing places to the map, before I learnt about adding photos, writing reviews, editing the map etc .

Fast forward to 2018, I became passionate about smartphone photography courtesy of attending meetups, meeting lovely people in my City and of course the photography tips coming from Awesome Local guides and Googlers from the Local Guides Connect photography section.

Sequel to the above, I have been able to up the quality of photos I add to Google maps.

Below are some of the beautiful shots I have added to Google Maps:

  • Pictures of beautiful buildings and structures around Lagos.

I am also happy to say that I have over 5,600 Photos on Google maps and it has a cumulative view of over 10.7Million Views.

A big thanks to the local guide community for taking my smartphone photography to the next level, now I am a hobbyist photographer and I have a current challenge on Instagram: which is Showcasing the beauty of my City through pictures on a daily basis.
